Volunteer Information

RRSA is a volunteer run organization and relies on the involvment of our parents to help keep costs low and run smoothly.

As a volunteer run organization, all RRSA parents are expected to assist with concession stand operations (if applicable) and field preparation.

Throughout the year, information about additional volunteer opportunities will be made available on this page, so check back often and get involved.

Thank you.

Concession Stand Duty Requirement (if required)

Each U5-U10 Recreational team will be required to complete one shift of concession stand duty each season.

Concession Stand Duty Details

  • 2.5 hour shifts
  • 1 to 2 teams per shift
  • 2 adult workers per team for the entire shift
  • If less than 2 workers are present for a team the entire shift, that team will forfeit the next game
  • No children are allowed in the concession stand during a shift
  • A sign-in sheet will be available for each shift in the concession stand

Teams unable to work their originally scheduled shift may trade shifts with another team.  If teams do trade shifts it is the responsibility of each team to notify the RRSA Scheduler of the change so the schedule can be updated.  If notification of the change is not provided, teams will be responsible for filling their original shift.

Teams assigned the 3:30 PM shift each Saturday will also be responsible for colleting trash from around the fields including removing bags from all trash cans and placing them behind the concession stand for pickup and disposal.  Note:  The 3:30 PM shift is reduced by 30 minutes to compensate for the trash collection.

Field Duty Requirement

Each U11-U18 Recreational, Academy and Select team will be required to complete one shift of field duty each season.

Field Duty Details

  • Each shift starts at 5:30 PM and runs until all work is complete
  • Workers must be 16 years old or older
  • U13-U18:  6 workers per team for the entire shift
  • U11-U12:  5 workers per team for the entire shift

Teams unable to work their originally scheduled shift may trade shifts with another team. If teams do trade shifts it is the responsibility of each team to notify the RRSA Scheduler of the change so the schedule can be updated. If notification of the change is not provided, teams will be responsible for filling their original shift.

Recreational teams that are 2 or more workers short of the requirement for their age group will forfeit the next game.

Traveling Recreational, Academy and Select teams that are 2 or more workers short of the requirement for their age group will have their next “Home” game slot at RRSA canceled.  It will be the responsibility of the team to reschedule the game to the opponent’s site and pay any applicable fees.  Fees are not reimbursable by RRSA.
